Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Warner Brothers studios, open to the public for the first time. The Harry Potter studio tour is an unforgettable opportunity to experience the magic of Harry Potter for yourself. Official tour tickets can be bought online here, and must be purchased in advance (Harry Potter tour tickets are not sold at the studio). During your tour of the studios and sets, you'll get to visit Platform 9 3/4 and climb on board the REAL Hogwarts Express train, constructed by the original film crew on the Harry Potter movies. Tour visitors can sit in the actual carriage used for filming and watch scenes from the films through the steam engine's windows. During the first part of the tour you can see sets and costumes used in the films including The Great Hall and Weasley's bungalow. Then head outside to see external sets and attractions including Privet Drive where you can buy refreshments (you can take your own food and drink) and try the famous butterbeer, which gets a mixed reception from tour visitors! You will experience lots more including special effects and prosthetics used in the movies, a huge scale model of Hogwarts, a green screen experience and lots of photo opportunities along the way.
Touring the Harry Potter studios is a unique experience ideal for families, couples, grown ups and kids, and you don't have to be a huge Harry Potter fan to get lots out of the day. The Harry Potter tour is part-guided with other rooms and attractions where you move at your own pace. It's an unrushed tour that usually takes three to five hours, but it's your experience to enjoy your own way. Opening hours: 9am to 6pm (you should arrive 20 minutes before check-in).
Age limits: entry to the Harry Potter studio tour is free (no ticket required) for children aged four and under. Infants aged three and four are charged for seats on the transport to the tour).
