The play's main character, Christopher, is a fifteen year old boy with an extraordinary brain. Christopher is exceptional at maths but struggles to interpret everyday life - not made easier when he is under suspicion of killing Wellington, Mrs Shears' dog. Christopher resolves to solve the mystery of who murdered Wellington, despite the fact he has never before ventured alone beyond the end of his road, detests being touched and distrusts strangers. Christopher's investigations will take him on a frightening, fascinating journey that will turn his world upside down.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time useful information
Performance hours: Monday to Saturday 7.30pm. Thursday and Saturday afternoon matinee show at 2.30pm. No show on Sunday.
Arrival time: For evening performances a theatre bar will be open from 6pm and the auditorium will open at 6.45pm. For matinee performances the bar and auditorium will open at 1.45pm.
Running time: 2 hours 45 minutes including one interval.
Age limits: The recommended age is 11+. As with the original novel, there is some strong language at the beginning of this play and occasionally throughout the show.

The Curious Incident opened in the West End on 02 August 2012 at the Royal National Theatre. The production moved to the Apollo Theatre in 2013 before a collapsed roof caused the show to close down! The play reopened in July 2014 at its second home, the Gielgud Theatre. The Curious Incident moves to its third location, The Piccadilly Theatre (in London's West End) on 29 November 2018.
